Senior Financial Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join Hidayet Trading LLC in Abu Dhabi. The role will oversee month‑end closing, cash and bank reconciliations, and ensure accurate financial reporting in line with IFRS and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile cash and bank accounts on a monthly basis and inter‑company accounts quarterly.
• Enter month‑end journal entries as part of the closing procedure.
• Identify and report tax risks.
• Liaise occasionally with banks.
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of P&L, balance sheet, and cash‑flow statements; produce trial balances and management reports.
• Coordinate with the project controller for project invoicing and aging balances.
• Post all transactions (customer and supplier invoices, inter‑company invoices, payments, receipts) in QuickBooks and align entries with analytical structures.
• Maintain proper filing and archiving of cloud and physical documents.
• Work with Tractebel Shared Service Finance in Brussels to verify financial data uploaded into SAP.
• Prepare and obtain approvals for cash and bank payments in accordance with group procedures.
• Support internal and external auditors during audit engagements.
• Audit financial transactions and related documentation.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by the Financial Accounting Manager or CFO.
• Apply knowledge of KSA tax rules and compliance requirements.

Required profile

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; Arabic or French is a plus.
• Very good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
• Knowledge of QuickBooks is advantageous.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, shifting priorities, and work under tight deadlines.
• 8‑10 years of experience in accounting.
• Good understanding of financial statement analysis.
• Sufficient command of IFRS.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CA, CPA, or CFA.
