Senior HR Business Partner – International Fintech

About the role

Optasia is seeking a Senior HR Business Partner to support its fast‑growing international fintech operations across Africa and Asia. The role combines strategic partnership with senior leaders and hands‑on execution to shape people strategies that drive performance, leadership capability and organisational effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR contact for employees and leaders in the assigned region.
• Partner with senior business leaders to design and implement people strategies aligned with growth priorities, organisational design and workforce planning.
• Provide trusted guidance on performance management, engagement, talent planning, succession, team effectiveness, change management and complex employee relations.
• Analyse people data and business insights to identify trends, diagnose issues and recommend actions that improve retention, productivity and leadership capability.
• Support organisational change initiatives, including restructures, operating model shifts, role clarity and communication planning.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Rewards, Payroll and People Operations to ensure seamless delivery of core HR processes and a consistent employee experience.
• Coach and challenge managers to elevate decision‑making, leadership behaviours and people‑management practices.

Required profile

• Credible HR leader with strong commercial acumen and experience partnering with senior stakeholders in fast‑paced, matrixed, multicultural environments.
• Demonstrated ability to translate business strategy into practical people plans and to navigate complex, sensitive HR matters with sound judgement.
• Passion for building high‑performing teams, coaching leaders and creating scalable, data‑informed, employee‑centric HR practices.
• Experience working across multiple markets and handling organisational change initiatives.
