Senior Internal Auditor – Arabic Speaker

About the role

Laith Al Obaidi Group is seeking a detail‑oriented Senior Internal Auditor who is fluent in Arabic to join its finance team in Dubai. The role focuses on evaluating financial operations, identifying risks, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations within the automotive trading environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and conduct financial and operational audits in line with approved audit plans.
• Review accounting records, financial statements and transactions for accuracy and compliance with IFRS and company policies.
• Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls across all departments.
• Identify control weaknesses, risks and potential fraud or inefficiencies.
• Ensure compliance with local laws, tax regulations and internal financial policies.
• Support risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Prepare clear audit reports, present findings to senior management and follow up on corrective actions.
• Recommend improvements to financial processes, systems and controls.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors and liaise with finance, operations and other departments during audit assignments.
• Provide guidance to junior auditors when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Professional certification such as CIA or CMA is highly preferred.
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in internal audit, finance audit or accounting.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, internal controls and audit standards.
