Senior Legal Counsel

About the role

The Senior Legal Counsel will support Air Arabia and its subsidiaries in protecting the company’s assets and legal rights. Working closely with the Legal Department, the role involves handling commercial contracts, litigation, arbitration, licensing and project coordination while maintaining strict confidentiality.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and risk assessments on contracts, service level agreements, complaints and disputes across the Air Arabia Group.
• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of contracts and legal documents, ensuring all necessary approvals and signatures are obtained.
• Develop and maintain legal and regulatory risk control frameworks aligned with group standards.
• Represent the company in dealings with suppliers, vendors, subcontractors and external law firms.
• Lead joint‑venture structuring, mergers, license renewals and company formation processes in all operational hubs.
• Supervise external counsel and manage in‑house litigation workflows, including evidence collection and case monitoring.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with extensive experience in commercial law, litigation and arbitration.
• Proven ability to work independently and handle confidential matters.
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills with a commercial mindset.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
