Senior Legal Counsel

About the role

NEXT Ventures is a global fintech group seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to lead its legal function in Dubai. The role sits at the crossroads of commercial, corporate, regulatory and technology law, providing strategic legal support to a fast‑moving, multi‑jurisdictional business.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts, including service, vendor, technology, partnership and marketing agreements.
• Provide corporate legal support for group structuring, reorganisations, governance and inter‑company arrangements.
• Handle cross‑border legal matters for the Group’s international entities and operations.
• Deliver licensing, regulatory interpretation and compliance framework implementation for fintech and financial services activities.
• Govern technology arrangements such as software licensing, platform agreements and procurement contracts.
• Advise on privacy, data‑protection, data‑sharing and intellectual‑property matters.
• Support legal operations, contract lifecycle management and dispute resolution in collaboration with external counsel.
• Conduct independent legal research across multiple jurisdictions and translate findings into actionable recommendations.

Required profile

• Qualified law degree with significant experience in commercial, corporate and regulatory law, preferably within fintech or financial services.
• Proven ability to manage multi‑jurisdictional legal issues and work with external counsel.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to advise business teams on risk‑balanced solutions.
