Senior Manager Business Applications Finance - GTDP

About the role

The Technical Product Owner bridges Finance and Technology teams to align the Finance IT portfolio with enterprise goals. The role manages the technical aspects of product and solution development to deliver controlled, measurable outcomes, covering technology strategy, demand pipelines and compliance with enterprise standards.

Key responsibilities

• Build partnerships with Finance leadership, process owners and stakeholders, and develop the multi-year Finance technology roadmap
• Advise the Business Product Owner on technical decisions, contribute to the House of Quality, backlog and epics, and define, manage and accept user stories
• Take part in RFx processes, vendor evaluation, business cases, operating model changes and planning/budgeting cycles
• Drive innovation in Finance through automation, analytics, AI and emerging technologies
• Own the Finance technology demand pipeline, prioritising by value, risk, strategic alignment, dependencies and capacity
• Contribute to solution definition and architecture with the Principal Engineer, and support sprint planning and backlog elaboration
• Keep a strategic view of the Finance application portfolio, including lifecycle, technical debt and rationalisation
• Ensure solutions comply with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, risk, integration, data and technology standards, and support financial controls, auditability and segregation of duties
• Manage technology, delivery, service and application lifecycle risks for critical Finance platforms and take part in governance forums

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Finance or a related discipline; a combined Finance and Technology qualification is preferred
• 10-15 years of IT experience and 8-10 years in Finance technology, enterprise applications or transformation roles
• Proven track record delivering complex cross-functional transformation projects with external consultants and system integrators
