Senior Manager – Chief of Staff Office, International Banking Group

About the role

The Senior Manager will support the International Banking Group (IBG) Head, Chief of Staff and senior leadership in executing the group’s strategic priorities. This position drives product‑centric initiatives, oversees business management across multiple lines and acts as a cultural carrier for the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Set and influence organization‑wide strategic business objectives for Global Transaction Banking, Treasury, Global Markets and Corporate Banking.
• Coordinate cross‑functional execution of key initiatives, ensuring alignment with the Chief of Staff, country management and executive teams.
• Produce insightful MIS, decks, strategy papers and analyses to support senior decision‑making.
• Lead brand‑building and marketing activities to enhance Mashreq’s wholesale banking equity in international markets.
• Oversee relationship‑manager productivity, portfolio optimisation and financial reporting in partnership with finance teams.
• Drive financial‑efficiency programmes, cost‑saving measures and budget adherence across business lines.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of banking experience, including at least 5 years in senior executive roles with international exposure.
• Strong knowledge of global banking operations, regulatory frameworks (e.g., Basel III, AML) and international markets.
• Proven ability to craft and execute corporate strategy, manage large‑scale transformation projects and influence senior stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a track record of leading cross‑functional teams.
• Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and adaptability across diverse regions.
