Senior Manager - Design

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Manager – Design to lead the design function for Dubai Holding Real Estate’s large‑scale projects. The role will shape design strategy, ensure alignment with project vision and deliver high‑quality outcomes across mixed‑use and hospitality developments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the review of design briefs and requirements to ensure they match the project vision and intent.
• Manage external consultants and foster collaboration to maintain a unified design approach.
• Validate design deliverables for completeness, coordination and compliance with scope.
• Monitor design progress against schedules and guarantee timely delivery of milestone packages.
• Align designs with budget targets and drive value‑engineering initiatives without compromising quality.
• Review and approve drawings and documentation to meet project standards.
• Provide regular updates to senior management on design status, risks and decisions.
• Stay informed on emerging design technologies, software and industry trends.

Required profile

• Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Urban Planning or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 6‑8 years of design experience in real‑estate or large‑scale developments, with project‑lead exposure.
• Strong knowledge of design processes, regulations and industry standards; hospitality or mixed‑use experience a plus.
• Proven project‑management capabilities, including planning, scheduling and stakeholder coordination.
• Excellent budgeting and value‑engineering understanding.
• Effective communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Detail‑oriented, problem‑solver able to handle multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
