Senior Manager - Internal R&D

About the role

G42 Healthcare, part of the G42 AI Function, is looking for a Senior Manager to lead internal R&D coordination across its operating companies. The role sits within the AI Strategy & Partnerships team and drives visibility, alignment and standards for AI research initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a consolidated view of AI R&D projects across OpCos, collecting structured inputs and tracking status, dependencies, risks and overlaps.
• Support the AI R&D Lead in cascading research priorities, coordinating information flow and following up on actions from steering forums.
• Identify duplicate efforts and gaps in capabilities, infrastructure usage and research coverage, providing analysis for prioritisation.
• Track adoption of AI research standards and reference architectures, assisting teams with documentation, evaluation and reproducibility practices.
• Prepare and manage R&D planning and review operations, ensuring decision‑ready information for senior leadership.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in AI research, technology development or R&D management.
• Proven ability to work across multiple business units and coordinate complex projects.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a focus on delivering actionable insights.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with senior leadership, OpCo teams and external partners.
