Senior Mechanical Construction Engineer (Offshore)

About the role

Penspen is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Construction Engineer to lead offshore mechanical works on a major PMC project in Abu Dhabi. The role involves overseeing the installation, commissioning, and hand‑over of complex mechanical systems while ensuring safety, quality, and schedule compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise all mechanical construction activities offshore, including piping, static and rotating equipment, and mechanical packages.
• Ensure installations follow design drawings, ASME, API, and ISO standards.
• Conduct inspections, mechanical completion checks, and maintain quality documentation.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues during startup and support smooth hand‑over to operations.
• Plan, schedule, and monitor construction progress to meet project milestones.
• Provide technical support for wellhead towers, subsea pipelines, and cable routing.
• Collaborate with civil, electrical, instrumentation, and marine teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience, with at least 3‑5 years in a senior mechanical construction role on offshore oil & gas projects.
• Proven experience with PMC/EPC environments; ADNOC offshore experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of offshore construction methods, safety standards, and ability to work in challenging offshore rotations.
