Senior Mechanical Engineer – MEP (HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection)

About the role

The Senior Mechanical Engineer will lead all mechanical engineering activities on‑site for construction projects in Dubai, ensuring that HVAC, plumbing, drainage and fire‑protection systems are installed in line with approved designs, specifications and safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise mechanical site works, coordinating with civil, electrical and architectural teams.
• Manage engineers, supervisors and subcontractors, allocating manpower, materials and tools.
• Review shop drawings, submittals and method statements, providing technical solutions and value‑engineering input.
• Oversee testing, commissioning and hand‑over of MEP systems, coordinating inspections with consultants and clients.
• Implement QA/QC procedures, ensure compliance with ASHRAE, SMACNA and NFPA standards, and resolve non‑conformities.
• Prepare schedules, progress reports and risk assessments, monitoring productivity and cost efficiency.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading mechanical engineering activities on construction sites.
• Strong knowledge of MEP disciplines, especially HVAC, plumbing, drainage and fire protection.
• Ability to mentor site engineers and manage subcontractors.
• Familiarity with local statutory regulations and safety standards.
