Senior Naval Architecture Engineer

About the role

Technip Energies is seeking a Senior Naval Architecture Engineer to join its Abu Dhabi team. Reporting directly to the Head of Department, you will lead the design and optimisation of marine vessels that support offshore and onshore energy infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design phases of marine vessels, including hull‑form optimisation and structural analysis using advanced modelling software.
• Support naval architectural studies at early project stages and develop solutions for greenfield and brownfield energy projects.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to produce comprehensive design specifications aligned with safety and environmental regulations.
• Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments, providing recommendations for design improvements.
• Mentor junior naval architects and engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
• Present design proposals and project updates to stakeholders, translating technical concepts for non‑technical audiences.
• Stay current with industry advancements and regulatory changes, implementing best practices in ship design.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in naval architecture or marine engineering.
• Proven ability to lead complex vessel design projects from concept to execution.
• Strong communication skills for stakeholder engagement and team mentorship.
• Degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering or a related discipline.
