Senior Offshore Construction Engineer – WHTs, Subsea Cable & Piping

About the role

Penspen is urgently seeking a Senior Engineer Construction to lead offshore construction activities on a PMC project in the UAE. The role focuses on wellhead towers (WHTs), subsea cable and piping systems, and brownfield modifications, ensuring delivery that meets time, cost, quality and safety targets.

Key responsibilities

• Manage offshore construction projects from concept through execution, covering WHTs, subsea cables, piping and brownfield tie‑ins.
• Coordinate with engineering teams to review design documents, technical reports and FEED deliverables.
• Conduct constructability reviews and align design intent with field execution.
• Interface with mechanical, electrical, structural and marine disciplines for integrated delivery.
• Ensure compliance with international offshore standards (API, DNV, ASME) and local HSE regulations.
• Support engineering change management and resolve technical challenges on site.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (mandatory).
• Minimum 15 + years of oil & gas construction experience, with at least 5‑8 years in offshore projects.
• At least 10 years of experience in subsea cable, piping and wellhead tower projects.
• Proven track record in PMC or client‑side roles, preferably within ADNOC or similar environments.
• Strong understanding of offshore standards, marine operations and HSE protocols.
