Senior Offshore Structural Designer

About the role

KBR is seeking a Senior Offshore Structural Designer to develop and coordinate fixed offshore brownfield structural designs for existing wellhead platforms, jackets, topsides, and related structures. The role involves creating accurate 3D models, fabrication drawings, material take‑offs and as‑built deliverables while supporting site surveys and field verification at ADNOC offshore facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain 3D structural models following project hierarchy, naming conventions and coordinate systems.
• Model and detail primary/secondary steel, grating, handrails, stairs, ladders, access platforms and connections.
• Produce general arrangement, plan, elevation, section, fabrication, erection and as‑built drawings from the 3D model.
• Extract, reconcile and manage material take‑offs (MTOs), tracking new, modified, reused and removed steel.
• Coordinate point‑cloud/laser‑scan data, existing drawings and structural documentation for brownfield modifications.
• Ensure all design changes are approved by the responsible Structural Engineer and maintain revision control.

Required profile

• Valid OPITO‑approved T‑BOSIET/BOSIET and H₂S certifications (minimum six months validity).
• Willingness to travel to offshore sites for surveys and data collection.
• Proven experience in offshore structural design and brownfield modification projects.

Required skills

• 3D structural modeling (e.g., using CAD/CAE tools).
• CAD drafting and detail production.
• Material take‑off (MTO) extraction and management.
• Point‑cloud and laser‑scan data integration.
• Steel detailing and connection design.
