Senior Operator (Bulk Product)

About the role

The Senior Operator (Bulk Product) is responsible for operating, monitoring and controlling assigned plant units to process, store and export bulk products in line with specifications, HSE standards and plant yield targets. The role requires safe execution of operational tasks, supervision of equipment checks and active participation in emergency response and permit management.

Key responsibilities

• Operate control panels and integrated control systems to ensure safe and efficient plant performance.
• Log operating incidents, discuss them with supervisors and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct routine equipment checks, arrange servicing and oversee repairs.
• Prepare and review plant equipment for maintenance, ensuring synchronization with other units.
• Act as Auxiliary Fireman or Site Safety Officer during emergencies according to the Facility Response Plan.
• Authorize work permits, monitor contractor activities and enforce safety regulations.
• Adjust speeds, temperatures, pressures and flow rates during start‑ups, shutdowns and emergencies.
• Monitor instrumentation, diagnose abnormal situations and initiate operational adjustments.
• Manage chemical dosing, solution preparation and dosing rate monitoring while following HSE procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum six years of experience in bulk product or plant operations.
• Demonstrated ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures and HSE requirements.
• Experience supervising equipment checks and coordinating maintenance activities.
• Capability to authorize permits and monitor contractor compliance.
• Strong awareness of emergency response protocols and safety standards.
