Senior Operator – Process Oil & Gas

About the role

The Senior Operator will be responsible for operating, monitoring and controlling assigned oil‑and‑gas processing units to ensure products meet specifications while adhering to company and HSE standards. The role requires close coordination with supervisors, contractors and safety teams to maintain optimal plant performance and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out operational tasks safely in line with Standard Operating Procedures.
• Log operating incidents and discuss them with the Supervisor.
• Supervise routine equipment checks, arrange servicing and repairs.
• Prepare and review plant equipment for maintenance and synchronize with other units.
• Operate control panels, adjust speeds, temperatures, pressures and flow rates during start‑ups, shutdowns and emergencies.
• Monitor and diagnose abnormal situations, initiate operational adjustments and ensure continuous plant checks.
• Authorize work permits, monitor contractor activities and enforce safety regulations.
• Manage chemical dosing, solution preparation and dosing rate adjustments following HSE procedures.
• Act as Auxiliary Fireman or Site Safety Officer during emergencies as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience operating and monitoring oil‑and‑gas processing units.
• Familiarity with company SOPs and HSE requirements.
• Ability to log incidents, coordinate with supervisors and oversee contractor activities.
• Capability to perform routine equipment inspections and support maintenance planning.
