Senior P2P Risk Strategy Analyst

About the role

Bybit is seeking a senior analyst to lead the design, optimisation and scaling of its peer‑to‑peer risk automation framework. The role focuses on protecting the platform from transaction‑related threats such as account takeovers, social‑engineering scams, money‑laundering and payment‑velocity abuse.

Key responsibilities

• Mine high‑volume, multi‑dimensional transaction and event logs to detect emerging fraud vectors, synthetic networks and collusion rings.
• Design, implement and iterate real‑time decisioning rules and risk policies (dynamic limits, step‑up authentication, cooling‑off periods) while maintaining a frictionless user experience.
• Write production‑grade, optimised SQL and Python scripts to analyse network graphs, transaction velocity, device signals and user interaction metrics.
• Translate machine‑learning models into operational strategies, set decision thresholds and run A/B tests to evaluate performance.
• Conduct quantitative root‑cause analysis on fraudulent transactions and develop loss‑mitigation recommendations.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with a data‑driven approach to risk detection.
• Hands‑on experience coding in Python and SQL on large transaction datasets.
• Proven ability to design and operationalise real‑time risk policies.
• Experience with A/B testing, statistical analysis and quantitative post‑mortem investigations.
• Understanding of fraud patterns, money‑laundering techniques and payment‑velocity abuse.
