Senior Packaging & Graphic Designer

About the role

GTI is a founder‑led global tobacco manufacturer seeking a Senior Packaging & Graphic Designer to join its tight in‑house creative team at the Dubai headquarters. The role focuses on hands‑on print production, taking packaging concepts from brief to press‑ready files for premium tobacco brands.

Key responsibilities

• Design packaging for new products, variants, line extensions and multi‑market adaptations.
• Create POSM such as headers, wobblers, shelf strips, displays and trade marketing toolkits.
• Prepare high‑resolution, press‑ready artwork that complies with pre‑press and print production standards.
• Work within brand guidelines and regulatory constraints across multiple markets.
• Collaborate with marketing, product development and legal teams to ensure compliance and brand consistency.
• Monitor Western FMCG design trends, colour psychology, pack formats and material innovations.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on packaging design experience (7 years total, including at least 5 years in premium FMCG or tobacco).
• Portfolio of at least 20 real, produced packaging projects across different categories.
• Primary background in print‑production packaging, not digital marketing or social media.
• Familiarity with foil stamping, embossing and spot varnish on finished packs.
• Ability to work under strong marketing‑led art direction and meet regulatory requirements.
