Senior Pipeline Engineer

About the role

McDermott International is seeking a Senior Pipeline Engineer to lead the design and engineering of onshore and offshore pipeline systems in Dubai. The role combines hands‑on technical work with mentorship, ensuring best practices are applied across the Pipeline discipline.

Key responsibilities

• Perform engineering design for onshore and offshore pipeline projects, adhering to relevant design codes and standards.
• Develop conceptual, FEED, and detailed studies, producing accurate calculations, design reports, and procedures.
• Prepare and manage design basis, technical specifications, and project documentation.
• Identify scope changes, raise change notifications, and support variation orders.
• Assist in bid preparation, including technical queries, execution statements, and man‑hour estimates.
• Communicate complex technical issues clearly to multidisciplinary teams.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in pipeline engineering, both onshore and offshore.
• Strong knowledge of international design codes and standards.
• Ability to mentor less‑experienced engineers and share best practices.
• Excellent time‑management skills to meet deadlines and budgets.
• Proactive in identifying project risks and proposing solutions.
