Senior Piping Engineer

About the role

Worley is seeking a Senior Piping Engineer to lead the mechanical (piping) design activities on a project in Abu Dhabi. The role involves championing safety culture, reviewing and approving contractor deliverables, and ensuring compliance with design standards and licensor requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Champion the project safety culture, behaviours and engagement activities.
• Identify, evaluate, and resolve piping engineering issues.
• Review and approve contractor key deliverables, including equipment design, system design, material testing, specifications, design calculations, drawings, and material requisitions.
• Attend technical meetings with the owner, licensor, contractor and vendors.
• Ensure quality and accuracy of EPC contractor’s mechanical (piping) engineering design, system integration and design selection.
• Supervise and manage the review and approval process, ensuring compliance with owner specifications, relevant codes, standards and industry best practices.
• Coordinate engineering participation in the development and analysis of design options and business models.
• Provide technical guidance for the development of new specifications.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in piping engineering within EPC projects.
• Proven ability to review and approve complex mechanical designs and calculations.
• Strong knowledge of relevant codes, standards and licensor PDPs.
• Demonstrated leadership in safety culture and technical coordination.
• Excellent communication skills for interfacing with owners, licensors, contractors and vendors.
