Senior Planning Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Planning Engineer to lead planning activities for oil and gas EPC projects, delivering realistic, risk‑adjusted schedules that cover the entire project lifecycle from engineering to handover.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed Level 3/Level 4 schedules in line with ADNOC standards.
• Prepare and update the overall baseline schedule covering engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, offshore installation, commissioning and handover.
• Monitor progress against the baseline, identify delays, critical activities and propose mitigation actions.
• Produce weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards and look‑ahead schedules for management.
• Perform critical‑path analysis, schedule risk analysis and support Earned Value Management reporting.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, fabrication, offshore installation and subcontractor teams to gather accurate progress data.
• Develop resource‑loaded schedules, manpower histograms and equipment forecasts.
• Review subcontractor schedules, support Extension of Time claims and conduct delay analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• 10–15 years of experience in project planning and controls on oil & gas EPC/EPCI projects, preferably offshore.
• Proven experience on ADNOC or ADNOC Offshore projects is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of project lifecycle phases from engineering to commissioning and handover.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, PMI‑SP or AACE are an advantage.

• Critical Path Method (CPM) and schedule risk analysis.
• Resource loading, manpower planning and productivity forecasting.
• S‑Curves, progress curves and KPI dashboard creation.
