Senior Planning Engineer – Site

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Senior Planning Engineer to join our Dubai team. In this site‑based role you will ensure efficient execution of construction projects by developing, maintaining and optimising project schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Analyse timelines, resources and dependencies to identify bottlenecks and propose solutions.
• Collaborate with project managers, site engineers and subcontractors to gather accurate schedule data.
• Monitor progress, report variances between planned and actual performance, and prepare periodic progress reports.
• Conduct resource analysis and optimisation to ensure efficient use of manpower and equipment.
• Assist in developing recovery plans when projects fall behind schedule.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations in Dubai.
• Participate in project meetings and contribute to decision‑making processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• Minimum 15 years of construction planning experience, preferably in a site‑based role.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder interaction.
• Ability to manage time efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Thorough understanding of construction methodologies and techniques.
• Familiarity with Dubai building codes and regulations.
• Professional project‑management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
