About the role

Bybit is seeking a Senior Principal Backend Development Engineer C to lead the design and evolution of its core trading backend. You will work in a high‑performance environment, tackling challenges of high concurrency, low latency, and massive scale while shaping the future architecture of a global cryptocurrency platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain the backend of the trading core system.
• Perform system maintenance, upgrades, and optimisation to meet high‑concurrency and low‑latency requirements.
• Collaborate with product teams, propose technical solutions, and author detailed technical documentation.
• Research, evaluate, and integrate cutting‑edge technologies to guide the platform’s long‑term architecture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong business sense with the ability to translate requirements into robust technical designs.
• Experience in large‑scale project foundations and application architecture design.
• Proven track record in building or contributing to high‑traffic, high‑performance distributed systems.

Required skills

• C++ (including familiarity with folly and boost libraries).
• NoSQL caching and messaging technologies such as Redis, Kafka, and Elasticsearch.
• System analysis, design, and code refactoring.
• Performance tuning for high‑concurrency environments.
• Distributed systems design and implementation.
