Senior Principal Technician Onboard Telemetry

About the role

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Principal Technician specialized in Onboard Telemetry to join our engineering team in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on designing, developing, integrating and executing telemetry systems for precision‑guided munitions and advanced weapon platforms, supporting flight‑test activities from preparation to post‑test analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain telemetry packs (telpacks) ensuring compliance with customer and industry standards.
• Create and manage telemetry design data packs, technical documentation and configuration records.
• Develop analog signal‑conditioning circuits for telemetry instrumentation and data‑acquisition systems.
• Install, configure and validate onboard telemetry equipment for flight‑test programs.
• Execute acceptance, verification and validation procedures for telemetry systems.
• Prepare and maintain telemetry metadata for PCM, Arcnet and onboard weapon communication systems according to ICDs.
• Support flight‑test activities, including real‑time telemetry data reception and monitoring.
• Perform data reduction, processing and analysis using MATLAB and other engineering tools.
• Generate post‑flight test reports and provide technical recommendations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate telemetry with weapon, seeker, servo and other subsystems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electronic subsystem and production test failures through root‑cause analysis.

Required profile

• Engineering degree or diploma in Electronic, Electrical, Mechatronics, Aerospace or a closely related discipline.
• 10‑12 years of experience in telemetry, flight‑test support and electronic subsystem troubleshooting.
• Proven experience with precision‑guided munitions or advanced weapon systems is preferred.
