Senior Process Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Process Engineer to lead the design, engineering and optimisation of petrochemical facilities for Penspen in Abu Dhabi. The role covers the full project lifecycle, from front‑end engineering to commissioning, ensuring safe, reliable and cost‑effective solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute process designs, simulations, heat and material balances, equipment sizing and hydraulic calculations.
• Create and review PFDs, P&IDs, process datasheets, engineering philosophies and technical specifications.
• Lead and participate in HAZOP, HAZID and SIL safety studies.
• Provide technical input across FEED, detailed engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and start‑up phases.
• Review vendor documentation and coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Identify and implement process optimisation, debottlenecking and energy‑efficiency opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in oil & gas, with at least 5 years in the GCC region.
• At least 5 years in senior process engineering roles on international petrochemical projects.
• Proven ability to work in fast‑paced, site‑based environments.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving and leadership capabilities.
