Senior Process Technologist

About the role

The Senior Process Technologist is responsible for overseeing product specifications, regulatory compliance, product registrations and labelling across the UAE and GCC markets. The role ensures that raw materials, finished goods and associated documentation meet all customer and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage product registrations with SFDA, Dubai Municipality and other GCC authorities, keeping specifications, routing and nutritional information up‑to‑date.
• Oversee labelling compliance, including Arabic translation, artwork verification and regulatory sign‑off.
• Maintain audit‑ready specifications to support BRCGS, Dubai Municipality and customer audits.
• Coordinate cross‑functional meetings with Quality, Procurement, Operations and suppliers to resolve specification and regulatory issues.
• Lead the digitalisation of specifications through implementation of a Specification Management Software.
• Develop and validate specifications for new product launches and food technology projects across all protein categories.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Engineering or a related field.
• 5‑7 years of experience in food processing, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of food safety management systems, HACCP principles and relevant GCC regulations.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams, manage projects and drive continuous improvement.
• Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma or similar process optimisation methodologies.
