Senior Project Manager – Electrical

About the role

GHD, a global professional services firm, is looking for a Senior Project Manager (Electrical) to lead a high‑profile electrical regulatory programme in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on governance, coordination, technical oversight and stakeholder engagement rather than detailed design work.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and deliver an electrical regulatory programme in line with scope, schedule and governance frameworks.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, action trackers, risk registers and reporting dashboards.
• Gather and integrate inputs from technical specialists, reviewers, authorities and other stakeholders.
• Ensure timely delivery of deliverables with clear audit trails, approvals and change‑control management.
• Manage scope clarifications, programme risks and change requests in collaboration with the client.
• Apply deep knowledge of Abu Dhabi Electrical Wiring Regulations (AD EWR), BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations – 18th Edition), DEWA standards and IEC standards to guide reviews and decisions.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years (120 months) of experience in electrical engineering project or programme management.
• Strong technical understanding of electrical wiring regulations and related standards.
• Proven ability to lead multi‑disciplinary teams and manage stakeholder relationships.
• Excellent communication and client‑facing skills.
