Senior Project Manager

About the role

The Senior Project Manager will lead the successful delivery of a large‑scale construction project, ensuring alignment with the Project Director’s objectives and the organisation’s strategic goals. This role requires managing budgets, timelines, quality standards and stakeholder expectations in a complex environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of a high‑value construction project, ensuring schedule, budget and quality compliance.
• Develop and execute a delivery strategy aligned with AFEC’s Business Plan, managing risk, financial controls and contract administration.
• Oversee a multidisciplinary team, recruit and motivate staff, and ensure safety, quality and environmental standards are met.
• Serve as the primary client liaison, manage stakeholder expectations and resolve issues promptly.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• 12–15 years of experience managing large‑scale construction projects, including multidisciplinary teams.
• Professional certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2 are preferred.

• Project scheduling software (Primavera P6 or MS Project).
• Budget management and cost control.
