Senior Python Data Scraping Engineer

About the role

Mindrift is seeking a Senior Python Data Scraping Engineer to support the Tendem project. This freelance, part‑time position allows you to work remotely while applying advanced web‑scraping techniques to real‑world data challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain end‑to‑end data extraction workflows for complex websites.
• Utilise tools such as Apify and OpenRouter, as well as custom Python scripts, to collect and process data.
• Handle dynamic, JavaScript‑rendered content and adapt to changing site structures.
• Validate and verify extracted datasets to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with formatting standards.
• Scale scraping operations using batching or parallel processing, monitor failures, and maintain stability.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in data engineering, web scraping, automation, or software development.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related field is a plus.
• Proven ability to solve non‑trivial technical problems and deliver high‑quality data solutions.
