Senior Quant Researcher

About the role

AlgoQuant Asset Management is seeking a Senior Quant Researcher to lead the next generation of alpha generation using advanced machine‑learning techniques. This senior, high‑ownership position will span the entire research lifecycle, from data architecture to live deployment across digital‑asset markets.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deploy cutting‑edge ML/DL models for signal generation on spot, derivatives and on‑chain data.
• Own the full model stack: feature engineering, architecture selection, training, validation and live monitoring.
• Apply state‑of‑the‑art methods such as transformer architectures, graph neural networks, reinforcement learning and ensemble techniques.
• Build production‑grade research pipelines that rigorously prevent look‑ahead bias, data leakage and over‑fitting.
• Analyse micro‑structure, order‑flow and cross‑venue dynamics to enrich feature sets.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to move models from research to production.
• Mentor junior researchers and raise statistical rigour across the team.
• Contribute to shared research infrastructure, tooling and datasets.

Required profile

• PhD or equivalent research depth in machine learning, statistics or a quantitative discipline.
• Proven experience delivering end‑to‑end research projects that transition to live capital‑weighted strategies.
• Deep understanding of why models work, where they fail, and how to mitigate risks in financial contexts.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to work independently and lead a research team.
