Senior Quantity Surveyor – Construction Projects

About the role

KBR is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its Abu Dhabi team. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will lead estimating, cost control, cash‑flow management and reporting for a diverse portfolio of infrastructure and community projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain estimates, budgets, cost reports and cash‑flow forecasts.
• Review bids and provide comments for contract award recommendations.
• Estimate value‑engineering options and calculate lifecycle costs.
• Analyse and report on consultants’ and contractors’ cost reports and cash‑flows.
• Coordinate with package managers, consultants and contractors.
• Produce monthly and weekly progress reports.

Required profile

• BSc in Quantity Surveying.
• MRICS membership.
• Minimum 15 years of overall experience, including at least 10 years in a similar senior role.
• At least 5 years working in the Middle East.
• Strong knowledge of engineering and commercial aspects of major civil infrastructure projects (roads, bridges, utilities).
• Proven experience in conceptual estimating, cost planning, expenditure profiling, cost reporting and forecasting.
• Fluent English (written and spoken); Arabic is an advantage.
