Senior Real Estate Auditor – Audit & Assurance

About the role

Deloitte is seeking a Senior Real Estate Auditor to join its Audit & Assurance team in the UAE. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality audits for real‑estate development companies, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute financial statement audits, internal control assessments, and compliance reviews for real‑estate developers.
• Evaluate the accuracy of records related to land acquisition, construction costs, revenue recognition, and asset valuation.
• Assess accounting policies such as cost capitalization, impairment testing, and fair‑value measurement.
• Review contracts, joint ventures, lease agreements, and other legal documents to identify audit risks.
• Identify material misstatement and fraud risks, designing appropriate audit procedures.
• Analyse project budgets, cost tracking, and cash‑flow management.
• Prepare clear audit reports with findings and recommendations.
• Liaise with client management and project stakeholders to resolve audit issues.
• Stay updated on IFRS, GAAP, and regulatory changes affecting the sector.
• Utilise audit software and data‑analytics tools to improve efficiency.

• Detail‑oriented professional with extensive experience auditing real‑estate development companies.
• Strong technical audit expertise combined with deep knowledge of the real‑estate industry.
• Senior‑level experience in audit planning, execution, and reporting.
