Senior Robotics Software Engineer – Payload Integration

About the role

Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Robotics Software Engineer to lead payload integration for its Maneuver Dominance team. You will create and integrate software that connects autonomous platforms with mission‑critical payloads, ensuring reliable operation in demanding defense environments.

Key responsibilities

• Engineer scalable, robust networked software that interacts with routers, switches and managed networks.
• Design and implement interfaces to Stores Management Systems (SMS) and other payload subsystems for munitions and mission payload control.
• Architect and develop APIs and Interface Control Documents (ICDs) using HTTP, REST and gRPC to link vehicles, payloads and ground stations.
• Build and optimise low‑level data transport layers over UDP and TCP to achieve low‑latency, reliable communication.
• Develop hardware‑interfacing code that bridges software with sensors, actuators and other onboard devices.

Required profile

• Proven experience in robotics or autonomous systems software development at a senior level.
• Strong problem‑solving skills in fast‑paced, mission‑critical environments.
• Passion for delivering high‑impact defense technology solutions.

Required skills

• Network programming and device integration.
• API design and implementation (HTTP, REST, gRPC).
• Low‑level data transport (UDP, TCP).
• Hardware interfacing and embedded systems.
