Senior Sales Engineer – ESCO & Cooling as a Service

About the role

The Senior Sales Engineer – ESCO & Cooling as a Service (CaaS) reports to the Associate Director – Sustainability and is based in Dubai. This strategic business development position drives growth of Johnson Controls' Energy Solutions, ESCO and CaaS portfolio across the GCC.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet revenue, profitability and growth targets for ESCO and CaaS in the GCC.
• Identify, qualify and secure new business opportunities for Low Delta T Energy solutions, Heat Pump Solutions and Cooling as a Service.
• Build and maintain relationships with C‑level executives, asset owners, developers, government entities and facility managers.
• Conduct energy‑saving assessments and collaborate with technical teams to produce commercial and technical proposals.
• Present business cases focused on energy savings, carbon reduction, lifecycle cost optimisation, ROI and operational efficiency.
• Lead negotiations, commercial discussions and contract closures while ensuring profitable growth.
• Analyse market trends, competitor activity and regulatory developments to uncover sustainability opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Energy or Controls Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of sales and business development experience in ESCO, Energy Services, Sustainability, HVAC or Cooling as a Service.
• Proven track record of securing large‑scale energy efficiency or HVAC retrofit projects in the GCC.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience building complex financial and value‑based business cases.
• Excellent presentation, negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills.
