Senior Services Officer – BBD Outsource

About the role

The Senior Services Officer will lead the ongoing due‑diligence (ODD) function for Business Banking, ensuring that risk reviews, compliance with anti‑money‑laundering (AML) regulations and team performance are managed effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee ODD reviews for high, medium and low‑risk Business Banking customers.
• Plan and manage resources for the ODD team, aligning capacity with core activities.
• Supervise daily and monthly performance of Supervisors, Checkers and Makers, creating and updating KPIs.
• Prepare mid‑year and annual appraisals for ODD team members.
• Ensure daily ODD operations comply with AML SOPs and report issues to senior management.
• Coordinate follow‑up on pending cases with Operations, Compliance and other units.
• Produce critical progress reports for senior management and the GCEO office.
• Review and update ODD SOPs, policies, SLAs and related documentation.
• Implement action plans for compliance, fraud and audit findings.
• Identify risks, set controls and work with Quality & Control to monitor RCSA, KRI and control testing.
• Guarantee completion of ODD for all customers and manage exit relationship exercises.
• Analyze MIS data to decide on account exits and coordinate with product/marketing for exit communications.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Business Banking compliance or ODD functions.
• Strong knowledge of AML regulations and risk assessment methodologies.
• Ability to lead, motivate and manage a team of supervisors, checkers and makers.
• Excellent analytical, reporting and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Experience in developing KPIs and conducting performance appraisals.
• Familiarity with internal audit, control frameworks and SOP governance.
