Senior Shop Assistant (6‑Month Fixed‑Term)

About the role

Emirates is seeking a Senior Shop Assistant on a six‑month fixed‑term contract to support its souvenir shops in Dubai. You will work in a fast‑paced, multicultural environment, helping customers make purchases while driving revenue and profit for the shop.

Key responsibilities

• Produce weekly and monthly sales reports to identify fast‑selling and slow‑selling lines.
• Monitor key performance indicators and work towards annual sales targets.
• Operate and become proficient with Touch Point of Sale, iProcurement Oracle, and pivot‑table spreadsheets.
• Conduct monthly stock takes and maintain accurate inventory records for the finance department.
• Maintain shop aesthetics, positioning best‑sellers to maximise sales.
• Ensure security of products, cash and shop assets.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain thorough product knowledge.
• Implement quality‑control checks to prevent damaged goods from reaching the shop floor.

Required profile

• 12 years of schooling or equivalent.
• Excellent written and spoken English; proficiency in reading, writing and speaking Arabic.
• Good knowledge of the airline industry, sports events and retail.
• Friendly demeanour with strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently in a busy environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Word.
• Advanced skills in MS Excel.
• Experience with retail Point of Sale systems (Touch Point of Sale).
• Familiarity with Oracle iProcurement.
• Ability to create and use pivot‑table spreadsheets.
