Senior Site Engineer - Vertical MEP

About the role

AESG is seeking a Senior Site Engineer specialised in vertical MEP systems to join its Dubai team. The role involves acting as the technical authority for building services, supporting the Project Manager, and mentoring junior staff on a high‑profile, multi‑disciplinary project.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct independent site inspections to verify compliance with specifications, health & safety standards, and applicable codes.
• Review and approve shop drawings, red‑marked drawings, as‑built documents, method statements and technical submittals.
• Prepare and issue NCRs, SORs, snag lists and RFIs, and report findings clearly to senior team members.
• Assess contractor BIM clash detection reports and flag major issues.
• Verify test procedures and results against project specifications and industry codes.
• Liaise professionally with contractors and commissioning teams, monitoring installations and submittals.
• Participate in coordination meetings, workshops and provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• BSc in Mechanical Engineering or related MEP/Building Services discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in vertical transportation systems.
• CSA Grade 5 qualification (desirable).
• Certified Commissioning Authority (BCA, ACG or NEBB) – desirable.
