Senior Specialist - IT Risk and Control

About the role

Join Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank’s Global Business Services team as a Senior Specialist in IT Risk and Control. You will work in a diverse, inclusive environment, collaborating with business partners to drive digital evolution and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain functional and technical documentation, communications and policies to ensure compliance with bank standards.
• Drive continuous improvement of domain toolsets and frameworks, promoting innovation and operational effectiveness.
• Facilitate stakeholder engagements, workshops and issue‑resolution activities to close queries promptly.
• Evaluate, recommend and implement solutions across multiple business areas to support portfolio initiatives.
• Mentor specialists through Confluence, Communities of Practice and up‑skilling initiatives.
• Lead mini‑projects, ensuring delivery within timelines and service standards.
• Drive quality assurance and governance, identifying improvement opportunities and establishing new processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in an IT environment, including at least 2 years of people‑management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.
• Proven ability to inspect and review work while maintaining quality‑control standards.
• Experience training team members on efficient and safe work procedures.

Required skills

• Network hardware configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Communications equipment and peripheral device support.
• Operating systems installation, configuration and optimisation.
• Personal computer and network client software management.
• Technical documentation development and maintenance.
