Senior Structural Engineer Site

About the role

The Senior Structural Engineer – Site will lead and oversee all structural works on construction projects, ensuring quality, safety and compliance with design specifications. This role involves supervising on‑site activities, coordinating with resident engineers and the design office, and managing reporting of non‑conformities. The position is based in Dubai and reports to the Resident Structural Engineer.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor work quality and progress on the construction site, ensuring that all activities meet project standards.
• Check site safety measures to verify compliance with supervision plans and applicable safety regulations.
• Carry out specific tasks according to the requirements and checklists developed by the Resident Structural Engineer (RSE) and Resident Geotechnical Engineer (RGE).
• Supervise the Technical Coordination Points (TCPs) composed of Resident Engineers, reviewing essential items for tasks such as superstructure works, site formation, foundation, and ELS construction.
• Coordinate and compile supervision reports, including non‑conformity reports, and communicate findings to the RSE/RGE for corrective action.
• Verify that works are executed in accordance with approved plans, temporary works, method statements, and prescribed precautionary and protective measures.
• Review contractor submissions to ensure they meet technical and contractual requirements.
• Monitor the performance of the Registered Contractor’s TCPs and ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Attend site and project meetings, and assist the design office in resolving site‑related matters.
