Senior Supply Chain Manager

About the role

Careem is seeking a senior individual contributor to lead demand planning for its grocery business. The role combines deep analytical work with cross‑functional leadership, requiring ownership of forecasting, scenario planning, and S&OP processes.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain demand forecasting models across SKUs, categories, and dark‑store locations using statistical and machine‑learning methods.
• Develop frameworks to manage demand variability from seasonality, promotions, new product launches, and macro‑economic signals.
• Own the weekly and monthly S&OP cadence, facilitating alignment between commercial, operations, and logistics teams.
• Set and monitor inventory targets by SKU and location to balance availability with holding costs.
• Extract and validate data using SQL, compare model outputs with real‑world performance, and present supply risk insights to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Proven experience in supply chain or demand planning, preferably in a fast‑paced e‑commerce or grocery environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable business decisions.
• Comfortable influencing cross‑functional teams and communicating insights to senior executives.
• Experience working in a startup‑like setting with high ownership and rapid execution.
