Senior Tax Consultant – UAE (VAT & Corporate Tax)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Tax Consultant to join our UAE tax team. The role focuses on delivering VAT and Corporate Tax advisory and compliance services to a diverse portfolio of businesses operating in the United Arab Emirates.

Key responsibilities

• Manage UAE VAT and Corporate Tax compliance assignments, including registration, deregistration, return preparation and filing.
• Provide practical VAT and Corporate Tax advice on day‑to‑day and complex transactions.
• Review tax computations, returns and supporting schedules prepared by junior team members.
• Advise clients on taxable income, deductible expenses, tax losses, exemptions, and reliefs.
• Assist clients with tax audits, assessments, voluntary disclosures and interactions with the Federal Tax Authority.
• Conduct tax health checks, identify exposures, risks and opportunities.
• Research and interpret UAE tax legislation, Executive Regulations, FTA guidance and public clarifications.
• Prepare tax opinions, technical memos and client correspondence.
• Supervise and mentor junior tax consultants and review their work.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation or a related field.
• 4–7 years of UAE tax experience with strong practical exposure to both VAT and Corporate Tax.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CTA, CPA, CA or equivalent (preferred).
• Experience working in a tax consultancy or professional services firm (preferred).
