Senior Technical Account Manager – UAE

About the role

As an Enterprise Technical Account Manager at Checkout.com, you will be the technical heartbeat for our most strategic merchant relationships in the UAE. You will act as a payment performance consultant, incident commander, and trusted partner, ensuring large merchants succeed on our platform.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse merchant payment data to uncover insights, drive initiatives that boost authorization rates and revenue, and promote adoption of new Checkout.com products.
• Own the technical relationship, mastering API integrations, leading incident response, and coordinating internal teams for swift resolution.
• Project‑manage complex migrations, new product launches and technical initiatives to ensure on‑time delivery.
• Advocate merchant needs internally, shaping product roadmap, and deliver training, workshops and demos to maximise platform usage.

Required profile

• 4+ years in a senior client‑facing technical role such as Technical Account Management, Solutions Consulting or Sales Engineering, preferably in a SaaS or API‑first environment.
• Degree in Computer Science, IT or equivalent experience, with strong hands‑on expertise in RESTful APIs.
• Excellent communication skills, able to build trust with C‑level executives and engineering teams.
• Proven problem‑solver who can navigate ambiguity and lead high‑pressure technical incidents.

Required skills

• RESTful API integration and troubleshooting.
• Deep understanding of the end‑to‑end payment lifecycle and concepts such as SCA, Tokenization, MIT/CIT, AFT/OCT.
• Knowledge of MENA payment methods (Mada, NPG, KNET, Fawry, Benefit) and the regional payments ecosystem.
