Senior Technical Architect

About the role

John R Harris & Partners – Dubai is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Architect to join their team and support recent project appointments. The role requires a creative architect with strong technical capabilities and excellent communication skills.

Key responsibilities

• Meet with clients alongside the Project Director and contribute to project brief preparation.
• Manage design projects from concept development through technical design and construction documentation.
• Oversee Revit workflow, model management, content creation, and conduct regular model audits and clash detection simulations.
• Prepare floor plans, elevations, sections, and detailed technical drawings, and ensure final documentation complies with safety standards and local building codes.
• Assist in tender documentation and specifications, and liaise with local authorities such as Dubai Municipality and Trakhees.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
• Minimum 15 years of work experience, including at least 5 years in the UAE.
• Experience on medium to large‑scale international projects and familiarity with British/American design standards and UAE regulations.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit.
• Experience with Architectural AI tools.
• Strong skills in AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of CSI and NBS specifications.
