Senior Testing Engineer

About the role

Vertiv is seeking a Senior Testing Engineer to lead prototype and production testing of switchgear panels in Dubai. The role involves ensuring compliance with international standards, delivering high‑quality test results, and supporting customers on‑site.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret and apply IEC‑61439 and IEC‑60529 standards for switchgear testing.
• Prepare detailed test documentation and reports for panel inspections.
• Operate test equipment such as dielectric testers, multimeters and infrared testers.
• Conduct factory acceptance tests (FAT) and site acceptance tests (SAT) in the presence of customers.
• Travel to customer sites to diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve panel issues.
• Maintain strict safety and quality control procedures, including PPE compliance.
• Provide high‑level customer service and maintain strong client relationships.

Required profile

• Technical background in engineering or manufacturing with proven experience in switchgear testing.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and verbal instructions.
• Strong organizational and time‑management abilities, capable of handling changing priorities.
• Willingness to work extended or unsocial hours as required.
