Senior Urban Designer & Master Planner

About the role

iTalent is seeking an experienced Urban Designer and Master Planner to lead the creation of innovative, socially responsible, and economically viable urban environments. The role involves translating complex planning concepts into clear visual and written deliverables for a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Develop design solutions that address social, legal, and economic implications of physical form.
• Manage projects and tasks to produce urban design and master‑planning concepts, including detailed drawings and construction documentation.
• Prepare bids and proposals to support business development and attract new clients.
• Provide project leadership, direction, and client management throughout the planning and design phases.
• Apply New Urbanism principles and planning theory to commercial and retail redevelopment projects.
• Independently oversee master‑planning assignments while supporting senior team members on larger initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or professional qualification) in landscape architecture, architecture, urban design, planning, or a related field.
• 15+ years of experience delivering master‑planning or urban design projects across multiple disciplines.
• Strong design, drawing, and report‑writing abilities specific to urban design and master planning.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in SketchUp.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite.
