Senior Vice President – Power Infrastructure & Capital Projects

About the role

Black Pearl is conducting a confidential executive search for a major asset‑intensive organization in the UAE. The Senior Vice President – Power Infrastructure & Capital Projects will lead the strategy, planning and delivery of a large portfolio of power and infrastructure capital projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of major power, energy and infrastructure capital projects across generation, transmission, distribution, substations and grid assets.
• Drive long‑term capital planning, project prioritisation and investment decisions based on capacity, demand and asset performance.
• Oversee projects from feasibility and concept through engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.
• Establish portfolio governance, project controls, risk management and performance frameworks.
• Provide executive oversight of CAPEX, budgets, schedules, contractors, consultants and overall project performance.
• Manage senior relationships with regulators, authorities, developers, EPC contractors and strategic partners.

Required profile

• Extensive senior‑level experience on the asset‑owner/developer side of large power or infrastructure organisations.
• Proven track record managing multi‑billion‑dollar power generation, transmission or distribution portfolios.
• Experience in capital investment planning, infrastructure master planning and network expansion.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering, project management and commercial teams.
• Strong stakeholder engagement with government, regulatory bodies and senior executives.
