Senior Windows Desktop Engineer (WinUI, C#) – Dubai

About the role

Speechify is looking for a senior engineer to lead the design and development of its native Windows desktop applications. You will work remotely from Dubai, shaping the next generation of Windows‑based reading tools that serve millions of users worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, architect, and implement Windows desktop applications using Windows App SDK, WinUI, C#, XAML and, when required, C++.
• Define and enforce best‑practice standards for code architecture, performance, memory usage, responsive UI, and cross‑version compatibility (Windows 10/11+).
• Drive accessibility initiatives by integrating Microsoft UI Automation and ensuring keyboard navigation, screen‑reader support, and overall usability for users with disabilities.
• Collaborate with product designers, UX researchers, QA and other stakeholders to plan features, UI/UX architecture and roadmap.
• Own the full feature lifecycle from conception through design, implementation, testing, release and maintenance.
• Identify, diagnose and resolve complex bugs, performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, rendering issues and compatibility problems.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience developing Windows desktop applications with Windows App SDK or WinUI.
• Strong proficiency in C#, XAML and a solid understanding of .NET.
• Experience with native Windows development using C++, Win32, WinRT or COM.
• Proven track record of delivering production‑ready software and handling the full development lifecycle.
