Service Technician MWD LWD Completions Tools

About the role

The Service Technician will provide on‑site repair, maintenance and field support for MWD/LWD completions tools used by NOV customers. The role involves preparing tools for deployment, troubleshooting on rig sites, and ensuring all documentation and certifications are completed.

Key responsibilities

• Repair and maintain MWD/LWD tools according to the latest manuals.
• Identify required parts for various service levels and tool configurations.
• Prepare tools for field deployment, including loading/unloading and certification completion.
• Coordinate with engineering via Jira tickets to resolve tool issues.
• Support rig‑site operations with MWD troubleshooting when needed.
• Re‑image PCs, install specialized software, and update firmware.
• Conduct field training, installation and commissioning of tools.
• Track inventory to ensure smooth job scheduling.
• Prepare MWD kits for mobilisation and perform soldering tasks for completions tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical & Electronics or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• More than 5 years experience in a service company handling MWD/LWD maintenance.
• Hands‑on field experience with downhole memory data analysis.
• Fluent English and willingness to travel.
• High energy, self‑motivated, results‑oriented with strong communication skills.
