Settlement Services Specialist – Al Ain

About the role

The Settlement Services Specialist will oversee daily monitoring and processing of settlement activities across domestic, regional and international markets for a wide range of instruments, including equities, mutual funds, fixed income and ETFs. The role ensures high‑quality client service and compliance with international standards while managing complex settlement transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Process settlement instructions for equities, mutual funds, fixed income, hedge funds, structured funds, ETFs and securities lending/borrowing.
• Validate client and market instructions, match and settle them within agreed timelines.
• Communicate with clients, counterparties, sub‑custodians, regulators, brokers and issuers across all markets.
• Support due‑diligence visits and provide first‑level training to new specialists.
• Manage cash flows to facilitate smooth settlements and mitigate financial, operational and reputational risk.
• Participate in system upgrades, processing enhancements and off‑hours testing.
• Assist in implementing new client SLAs, product launches and regulatory changes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in securities settlement, preferably in a banking or custodial environment.
• Strong understanding of domestic, regional and international market conventions.
• Ability to handle high‑value, complex transactions with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with multiple stakeholders.
