Smart Home Technician

About the role

The Smart Home Technician will join a fast‑growing UAE company that delivers integrated home automation solutions. Working on‑site in Dubai, you will install, configure, test and maintain a range of smart home devices for residential and commercial clients.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys and prepare installation plans.
• Install and wire controllers, sensors, cameras, lighting and shading systems.
• Integrate devices with home networking equipment (Wi‑Fi routers, switches, IP addressing).
• Perform system testing, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and ensure stable integration across platforms.
• Provide basic user training on mobile and web applications.
• Document installations, report technical findings and coordinate with project managers and suppliers.
• Ensure all work complies with safety and quality standards.

Required profile

• Technical diploma or certification in electronics, electrical engineering, IT or a related field.
• Experience with smart home, security systems or AV installation is preferred.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow installation plans and safety guidelines.
• Willingness to work on‑site in residential and commercial environments.

Required skills

• Installation and configuration of smart home controllers, sensors, cameras, lighting and shading solutions.
• Low‑voltage electrical wiring and basic electrical knowledge.
• Home networking – Wi‑Fi routers, switches, IP addressing.
• Hardware and software troubleshooting.
• System testing and integration of multiple smart platforms.
• Use of configuration dashboards or vendor software tools.
